Buskers
The term Busker was already common in the Middle Ages. In those days the Buskers belonged to the vagabonds. The Busker travelled through the countries, most of the time in a group with other buskers, and entertained people in cities and villages all over. Busker is the perfect term for the Entertainer in the Middle Ages. Different from today the Busker was not so gladly seen at that time. Busker was meant to be a lazybone or even a wastrel, mainly with criminal background. In Modern Times the reputation of the Busker improved a lot and everybody seems to like the Buskers!
A long time before we started our career as medieval Buskers, we took part at Buskers-Festivals, without even considering what the word Busker stands for. It is a synonym for street-artist and it still describes the same kind of entertainment like the Buskers had shown in former centuries.
Finally we decided to follow the path of the original Busker and entered the world of the true Buskers on medieval markets, banquettes or knight-tournaments. A world in which our two Buskers feel at home so well with their Buskers’-Show “BOMBAX”. As well-trained musketeers it is too easy to excite the public of the medieval events. Only the imitation of the living during the Middle Ages was not that easy in the beginning. But there is no reason to complain – women seem to like the charms of Buskers beyond all borders and so do the Buskers themselves. Equipped with all the skills a Busker needs – fencing, juggling, magic, comedy, entertainment – our two heroes master all challenges without faint! So we recommend this to everybody: Come to our medieval hotchpotch and cheer for our wacky Buskers: Orlando and Aragon!
